Fitness influencers in Australia

Updated August 2026 · Vetted and opted in · Australia

Fitness in Australia happens outdoors more than almost anywhere else creators work in the region. Ocean swims, coastal runs, park bootcamps at 6am and a winter mild enough that none of it stops give fitness creators here a supply of natural-light footage that indoor sessions cannot match. Brands that plan around daylight and weather windows get far more usable material than brands that pick a date and hope.

We are signing our founding fitness influencers in Australia right now. Nobody is live in this niche yet, so if you make this kind of content here, this is an open door.

Founding creators

By creators, for creators

And for this region. The Creator List is built in Singapore and covers Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Australia, Hong Kong and Bangkok, where creator work is bought in local terms: UGC creators in Singapore and Australia, KOLs in Hong Kong, KOCs in Thailand. Same team, same vetting, whichever market you are casting in.

Built with the creators

The Creator List is not a directory somebody compiled from follower counts. The founding creators are involved in building it, and how rates are shown, what a brief has to include and what counts as fair usage all came out of those conversations.

They chose to be here

Every creator on the list put themselves forward and takes paid brand work. Reach out and you are contacting someone who is available and expecting to hear from you.

Their rate, their terms

The creator sets the price and it sits on their profile. You brief and pay them direct, the relationship is theirs, and nobody takes a margin in the middle.

For creators

It's your business.
We bring the briefs.

This is being built by creators, for creators. You set your rate, you talk to the brand direct, and you decide which briefs are worth your time. We are not an agency and we do not manage anybody. We keep the list short so the work that comes in is not spread thin.

We are early in Australia and we will say so. That is the opportunity: the fitness influencers who join now are the ones brands see first as this market comes online.

What works

Fitness content that performs in Australia

01

Form breakdown

The creator demonstrates one movement, then corrects the two mistakes most people make with it.

It is the most saved and most shared format in fitness, because it teaches something the viewer can use in their next session.

Put this in the brief

Name one movement, not five, and say whether the product should be visible in the working shot or only in the setup.

02

Session in the space

A single training session filmed end to end in the gym, studio or park, cut down to sixty seconds.

For a physical location it answers the real objection, which is what the room feels like at the hour the viewer would actually go.

Put this in the brief

Specify the time of day and the class or floor area, and confirm whether other members can appear on camera.

03

Progress log

Two or three videos across four to eight weeks tracking one measurable thing: a lift, a time, a body composition change or a habit.

Fitness purchases are considered and slow, and a change the audience watched happen beats a claim they were told.

Put this in the brief

Book the full series up front, agree the metric before the first video, and accept that the result is whatever it turns out to be.

04

Gear and kit review

The product is used under real load, in real conditions, with the creator saying where it holds up and where it does not.

Activewear, footwear and equipment are bought on durability and fit, which studio photography cannot show.

Put this in the brief

Send the correct size and ask for at least one shot under sweat, load or distance rather than a static try-on.

05

Nutrition in context

A supplement, protein product or meal appears inside the creator's actual day, with the timing and the reason explained.

It moves the product from a shelf item to a habit, and habits are what drive repeat purchase in this category.

Put this in the brief

Supply the claims you can substantiate under local regulation and clearly mark the ones you cannot.

06

Coach answers a question

A direct answer to one common question from the creator's own comments or clients, with the brand present but secondary.

It builds category authority, performs well in search and AI answers, and ages far better than a trend-led piece.

Put this in the brief

Pick the question from the creator's audience, not from your internal FAQ, and let them keep their own framing.

Rates

Two things move a fitness rate more than reach: qualification and exclusivity. A certified coach or a competing athlete prices above a general lifestyle creator because their word carries clinical and competitive weight, and because a bad claim costs them clients. Most creators on the list sit between S$250 and S$1,200 per video, rising to around S$10,000 for a top creator or KOL, and paid-ad usage adds roughly 30% over organic-only. Supplement and activewear exclusivity is the other big lever, since a creator who blocks out every competing brand for six months is turning down the bulk of the category. See the full rate bands →

Typically booked by gyms and boutique studios, supplement and sports nutrition brands, activewear and footwear labels, wearables and fitness apps, recovery and physiotherapy clinics, protein and functional food brands, race and event organisers, health insurers running wellness campaigns. Working with fitness creators

Why credibility outranks reach in fitness

Fitness audiences are unusually good at spotting a fake. They watch a squat and know whether the depth is real. They read a supplement caption and know whether the claim is legal. A creator who cannot pass that inspection will get engagement but not conversions, which is why follower count is a weak signal in this category and training history is a strong one.

The demand side is genuinely healthy. Singapore's National Population Health Survey 2024 found the proportion of residents doing sufficient total physical activity rose from 78.5% in 2023 to 84.7% in 2024. That is a large, active, and increasingly informed audience, and it is why gyms, supplement brands and activewear labels are all competing for the same few hundred credible creators in this market.

What to look for before you book

Check three things. First, the discipline: strength, running, calisthenics, pilates, hybrid and combat sports have almost no audience overlap, and a runner recommending a barbell programme reads as a paid post immediately. Second, the certification and where it came from, because a coach whose income depends on client outcomes has an incentive to stay accurate. Third, the back catalogue. Look for the same person training in the same way twelve months ago. Consistency is the hardest thing to fake and the cheapest thing to verify.

Creators on The Creator List are independent businesses. They set their own rates, choose which briefs suit them and keep the client relationship afterwards. If a creator turns your brief down because the claim is not one they can stand behind, that is the system working.

Briefing a fitness campaign properly

Give the creator the constraint and let them own the execution. Say which movement, which product, which claim, and what you legally cannot say. Do not write the script. A coach who talks to their audience every day knows how to phrase a cue better than a brand team does, and audiences can hear the difference between a person and a press release.

Two practical points. Agree usage rights before the shoot, not after the edit, because a form breakdown that performs well is exactly the asset you will want to run as a paid ad. And plan around gym access early: many Singapore gyms restrict filming during peak hours or require written permission, so a session shoot often has to be booked for a mid-morning or late-evening slot.

Going pro as a fitness creator

The creators who build a real business in this category treat content as a shop window for coaching, not the other way round. Specialise narrowly, publish the same kind of thing every week, and price organic use and paid-ad use separately from your very first deal. Brands will pay a premium for a certified voice, and they will pay again for a series rather than a one-off, because a progress log is worth more to them than a single video. Be honest about what you can and cannot claim. In fitness, the creators who say no to the wrong brief are the ones who get invited back for the right one.

FAQ

Booking fitness creators in Australia

More than most overseas brands expect. UV is high enough through summer that the middle of the day is unusable across much of the country, so outdoor filming clusters into early morning and the hour before sunset. Hats, shade and covering up read as ordinary behaviour in Australian fitness content rather than something the creator is working around. Build one reserve day into the schedule and the shoot survives a wet week.
